I could not be more proud of all the boys for their play through out this weekend.  They were able to increase their level of play each time they were pushed and had their backs to the wall.  These boys have never given up on each other at anytime during this season.  They refuse to fail and it shows in the teams record this year.  Everytime they were pushed to the brink by their opponents they were able to respond in kind.  A great bunch of boys to coach and be around this year.  Thanks to all for their efforts and personal committment to this team this season.

A very nice effort with some key players missing.  A huge round of applause for Drew, Nate, Owen and Carson F. as we went with only 4 defensemen in a game with three 14 minutes periods.  Along with a great door closing by both Sam and Fraser as they shared our 8th shut of the season.  Myles and Ryan also logged a lot of ice as we went with only 2 centerman through out the game.  Aiden was able to make it to the 3rd but couldn't continue with some flu like symptoms.  So we finished with only 7 forwards as well.  All of the boys showed a great deal of heart in maintaining a high level of play with very little rest.

A very strong game by our boys resulted in a very convincing result.  Recent changes on the Tarnawsky line with Eric and Seth switching spots.  Has resulted in the line coming to life.  Eric also picked up POG honors for his 2 goal performance.  Other goals in the game went to Seth with one, and Nolan with 2 more.  I thought we moved the puck around rather well.  Utilizing the D nicely and getting it wide out on the wing.  It just seemed to create a lot of time and space for us.  We were solid on D again with only one real breakdown.  Sammy was able to prevent that mistake from becoming a goal when he stopped a breakaway midway through the 3rd.  No more games until March.  Good luck at your HL games.

Last few weeks have been quiet but we have had two games against the Gryphons.  They are a strong squad and Sam and Fraser get some extra work when we play them.  In both games they played admirably allowing one goal each in each game.  Labanich line continues to lead the charge.  With GWG coming from Giacomin in both games.  In our more recent game last night the offense was spread around nicely with a goal from every line in our 4-2 victory.  Congrats to Seth for getting his first goal since moving up to forward.  Defence led by Jayson Wilson last night(POG) continues to be strong holding the line and moving the puck up to the forward efficiently. See you all Friday

Yes we won the game yesterday.  But not in an impressive fashion.  The boys had a bit of a let down in play from their high from the tournament victory last weekend.  As you know we had a team bug that seems to have sapped the energy out of many of the players.  Thanks to all for fighting through there respective illnesses and making the trip to Cambridge.  Special mention also to AP player William Matthews for filling in and making his Select debut. Great goaltending on Sam and Fraser's part was the difference in this one.  We seemed to be fighting the puck all night.  Losing it in our feet and not winning the majority of puck battles.  Rest up boys!  We are back at it at 6am on Monday.
