Our Bulldogs have finished the regular season with a very good 15-12-3 (W-L-T) record. We will face the London Jr. Knights (Green) team in the first round of the playdowns in a best of five series. Our boys have played some of their best hockey in the last few games of the regular season - finishing our last two games outshooting the opposition 71 to 28 - recognizing what it will take to win this series and peaking at the right time. The boys have what it takes to beat London. Go Bulldogs!

Congratulations to our boys who played very well in the America Cup II tournament in Lake Placid Dec. 7-9, 2012! Winning this tournament means that this is the fourth consecutive season the team has won one or more tournament championships. The team benefited from solid goaltending from both Matt and Owen who both registered shutouts in the tournament, fantastic puck movement by all players, and some great goal-scoring (we scored an average of just over 5 goals per game). Good job bringing the America Cup home to Canada where it belongs boys!

The Bulldogs finished the first half of the regular season in strong fashion with a record of 7-2-1 (wins, losses, ties) in the last 10 regular season games to secure a second place finish in the 17-team Alliance Bantam division. Good job boys! Improved defensive play, solid goaltending and consistent goal scoring has been the formula for success. Keep it up Bulldogs!

The 17 teams in the Alliance seeded A/AA league will be divided into the A and AA divisions by the weekend ended November 18. Our Bulldogs have performed well in the first half of the season, with a record of 9-4-1 (wins, losses, ties) to-date. Following the tie against Waterloo (Black) today our boys have officially earned a spot in the AA loop for yet another season. The final two games prior to the split do matter since they represesnt four possible points to be earned, and the standings at the end of the regular season will dictate which team we will face in the first round of the playoffs. So Go Dogs Go! Good work so far boys.

Although summer is just half over, the coaching and team staff of the 2012-13 Bantam Bulldogs are preparing for the upcoming season already. On August 7 the team has its first practice of the season, to be followed by three other practice dates in August, some exhibition games in the works and the Brian Steele tournament early in September. The boys have been working hard at dryland training in anticipation of the start of an important season. After winning the Alliance AA Championship last year, the Bulldogs aim to repeat as champions and earn a spot in the OHF Championships next April. See you all very soon!
