Clear The Tracks

Clear the tracks!! The Minor Red Peewees looked to get back on the winning track.

After starting the new year with a couple of losses at the hands of their crosstown rivals, the Minor Peewee Red squad was eager to get back to their winning ways on Sunday, January 12th, hosting the Woodstock Navy Vets at Nelson Arena.

The Dogs came out determined to pin the Navy Vets into their end. The defense was in charge of pinching heavy to the hash marks to try to keep their opponents deep in their end. Evan "Clark-Dog" Clark, Evan "Big Dog" Beattie and Jacob "Slomo" Slominski were stellar in doing so. Their heavy work kept the puck in deep and contributed to the overall team success. As a result, the Dogs were able to keep puck possession and force the Navy Vets to take penalties to stop them.

The "PP" Unit was on fire for the Dogs on this night as they converted on three power play goals by Nate "The Skate" Arsenault and two by "Big" Mikey McLenahan. Lots of traffic out front of the net and some implementation of the "cycle" game were key contributors to these goals.

Vinnie "Legend Jr." Morelli was up to the task when needed and made some tidy saves. All in all - let the good times role - DOGS WIN 3 to 1.

This week the Dogs will practice hard in preparation for their upcoming tourney in Rochester.
