Rep Hockey - BB/MD

BLOMHA runs a level of competitive REP hockey called BB/ MD (Minor Development) for players from age 7 to 17 years old. There is no body checking in our REP program. These teams compete in regular season play against other Minor Hockey Alliance centres in Southwestern Ontario such as Hamilton, Brantford, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Stratford, Woodstock and St.Catharines.

This program is offered from Under 8 through U18 and requires many hours of commitment from coaches and families. These are stand-alone teams
receiving up to four (4) ice events each week U10-U18; U8-U9 teams receive two to three ice times per week. The events include home/away games and practices. Players do not participate in any House League or Select programming.

2024-2025 Season Update

ATTENTION REGISTRANTS: The season schedule will be available by September; this includes potential practice/game times, location, and more.

2024-2025 Bulldogs Continue with  Great Coaches & Development Team.

The Burlington Bulldogs are excited to enter into their second year of Development for both player and goalies. Before we go on it takes a commitment from the Coaches, players, families and organization to have a successful team and development plan. With 10 teams making into the Alliance Championship we must be doing something right. We will still have 10 Rep teams on the ice until April 15! The past year was a pilot project for Development and we were able to work out a few issues. We thank the coaches and managers for their support and we're ready for the 2024-2025 season.

WE will continue with both player and goalie training  trying to teach everyone the same basic mechanics of skating, shooting, passing and playing in goal.  The Developmental Plan will focus on a month to month guideline with the coaches to allow the players to peak at the right time and improve their team play while working on their individual skills

The Bulldogs players will be taught a system of skating, passing, shooting so that they are all taught the same. With the goalies being taught the same skills and style as well. We have our on-ice REP Development team in place with our strong, skilled instructors plus a head goalie instructor; all excited to meet the players and families.

The Development team will have a curriculum in place for the day, week, month and season. We will be introducing our team shortly. Each team will receive monthly on-ice development. Development will commence in September this year due to tryouts taking place in May. This is going to be a recipe for success that will make the Bulldogs a stronger program than ever.

We look forward to seeing everyone at tryouts or around the rinks. We can’t wait to get started!
