Program Information (BLOMHA)

PrintProgram Information

BLOMHA runs a level of REP hockey called MD (Minor Development) for players from age 7 to 17 years old. There is no body checking in our REP program. These teams compete in regular season play against other Minor Hockey Alliance centres in Southwestern Ontario such as Hamilton, Brantford, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Stratford, Woodstock and St. Catharines.

This program is offered from Under 8 through U18 and requires many hours of commitment from coaches and families. These are stand-alone teams
receiving up to four (4) ice events each week U10-U18; U8-U9 teams receive two to three ice times per week. Players do not participate in any House League or Select programming.

The Burlington Bulldogs are excited about the upcoming REP Development Program. With the coaches' BBQ and meetings already complete for U14 to U18, we can't wait to get started. We will be meeting with the younger age coaches soon.

With the new addition and experience of Anthony Miele as REP Development Consultant and the new team of on-ice instructors he has put in place, our REP program will offer great support to the players and coaches to improve their game. The focus of the program will be geared towards IMPROVE- MOVEMENT- CONSISTENCY.

The Bulldogs players will be taught a system of skating, passing, shooting so that they are all taught the same. With the goalies being taught the same skills and style as well. We have our on-ice REP Development team in place with our strong, skilled instructors plus a head goalie instructor; all excited to meet the players and families.

The Development team will have a curriculum in place for the day, week, month and season. We will be introducing our team shortly. Each team will receive monthly on-ice development. This is going to be a recipe for success that will make the Bulldogs a stronger program than ever.

We look forward to seeing everyone at tryouts or around the rinks. We can’t wait to get started!
