Rep MD PROGRAM + FEES for 2020-2021 SEASON

*Tryouts for the 2020-21 season will not be conducted this spring. The OHF will provide guidance on when the introduction of the 2020-21 season will begin.

The hockey season for Rep MD teams (U12 Minor Peewee to U18 Midget) will begin in late September and will conclude as teams are eliminated from, or win, their respective divisional playoffs in late March or early April. The U8 (Minor Novice) through U11 (Atom) season will commence in October after September tryouts.  

Please note regarding MD team fees: No fundraising permitted by MD teams with the exception of U18 (Midget) MD to satisfy tournament participation.

U8 (Minor Novice) MD: $ TBD 
(U8 Minor Novice through U11 Atom MD will be subject to the Hockey Canada Novice-Atom Pathway with player tryouts being held in September after Labour Day). Due to the half ice game requirement U8 Minor Novice teams will roster 18 players. 

U9 (Novice) MD: $ TBD
 
(U8 Minor Novice through U11 Atom MD will be subject to the Hockey Canada Novice-Atom Pathway with player tryouts being held in September after Labour Day). U9 teams begin the season playing half-ice hockey. Due to full ice game requirements which will begin in mid-January each U9 Novice MD team will roster 17 players.

U10 (Minor Atom) and U11 (Atom) MD: $ TBD
(U8 Minor Novice through U11 Atom MD will be subject to the Hockey Canada Novice-Atom Pathway with player tryouts being held in September after Labour Day).

U12 (Minor Peewee) through U18 (Midget) MD: Player fees are listed below

Teams will have access to $5000.00 for Tournaments and $2100.00 for Miscellaneous Expenses. In addition to two (2) weekly team practices and scheduled games, MD teams will also receive twelve (12) additional team development sessions throughout the season. These sessions will be held on BLOMHA ice with BLOMHA designated skills instructors (TBA) and will be held from October 2020 through March 2021. These twelve (12) sessions will also include goaltender specific training.

U12 Minor Peewee & U13 Peewee: $2800.00

U14 Minor Bantam to U16 Minor Midget: $3000.00 - At this age and level teams will carry a roster of 18 players.

U18 (Midget) MD non-checking: $2000.00  
This team will have two hours of ice time per week for home games and when there is no home game on a particular week the team will have one hour for practice. This will be a mid-week evening ice time. *Team may choose to participate in up to two (2) tournaments during the season with cost to be paid by team or through fundraising. The number of regular season games, playoff structure and participating centres are TBD by Alliance Hockey. Players at this age level have other commitments therefore we are offering a reduced weekly ice time schedule.

PLAYER FEE PAYMENT SCHEDULE

U12 (Minor Peewee) to U18 (Midget) MD:
If paying in equal installments with cheques, the first cheque installment is due at the time the player accepts a position on a team and must be accompanied with postdated cheques for July 15, August 15, September 15, October 15 and November 15th. 

Fees may also be paid in full at the BLOMHA office by cash, debit, credit card or cheque at the time the player accepts a position on a team. All cheques are payable to BLOMHA.

All player registration fees include: 

  • "Bulldogs" winter jacket for all players as there will be a new design jacket for next season.  
  • Team Jerseys (home/away) and socks. 
  • Teams receive $5000.00 for Tournaments and $2100.00 for Miscellaneous Expenses. *Except U18 (Midget) MD

Required Dress Code/Equipment

  • Bulldogs winter jacket, white dress shirt and dark tie (or Red Bulldogs track suit). All players must be dressed the same.  
  • Navy Blue helmet, navy blue pants with navy blue or black gloves.

Optional Apparel/Equipment

  • Bulldogs hats / toques / track suits, Team Official jackets, and equipment bags etc. are available for purchase with miscellaneous team funds through the designated BLOMHA supplier only: Al's Source for Sports on Fairview Street in Burlington. No equipment donations are permitted to any team under any circumstances. Consistency of equipment and dress code is mandatory for all Bulldogs teams.
