Goalie Skating Improvement Clinic (SIP) (BLOMHA)

Print Goalie Skating Improvement Clinic (SIP)
  1. SIP (Skating Improvement Practice) Program

SIP sessions are all about freeing the goalie from the restriction of their goalie pads. Without goalie pads participants are able to push the limits when learning crossovers, turning and acceleration, etc. combined with goalie drills to strengthen specific goalie skills. The program is designed to increase overall strength and agility, handling of goalie pads, quicker crease movement and increased cardio.

Participants wear tracksuits with basic safety equipment – helmet with a full cage, regular gloves and stick, neck guard and regular skates or goalie skates, elbow and shin pads and a protective cup (jock). Full out equipment is best if available. Goalie masks can be worn if a regular helmet is not available.
