Convenors required for 2020-2021 Season

BLOMHA is looking for all those interested in serving as a House League Convenor for the upcoming hockey season. Return to play guidelines in relation to changes as a result of COVID-19 requires volunteers to assist with implementation of our program during the coming season. 

There will be reimbursement of House League registration fees and/or skill development fees.

House League divisions requiring Convenors:

Under 6, Under 7, Under 8 (Initiation  4/5, 6, 7) | Under 10 +11 | Under 12 + 13 | Under 14 | Under 15 | Under 16 | Under 18

*Team Officials are not eligible
*Non-parent Convenors will receive the same financial consideration

Requirements of Convenor:

  • This is an administrative role requiring general administrative and organizational skills. You do not need to be a hockey expert.
  • Convenors must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) through the Halton Regional (previously Police Screening/VSS).

  • Convenors must have Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders, Gender Identity + Expression courses and a Trainer's certification. 

  • The position will require the use of a computer to fulfill duties.

  • Attend any other training that may be necessary for this position.

Note: You will receive full reimbursement for the cost of all required certification.
