The Initiation Program is Hockey Canada’s premiere "Learn to Play" program and is the foundation of skill development in Minor Hockey.
The program is designed for players 4, 5, 6 and 7 years of age and clearly lays out how to get them started in hockey. Learning basic fundamentals they will have fun and develop confidence. The program consists of four phases of instruction, designed for any entry-level hockey player, helping introduce the skills of skating, puck control, passing and shooting in a fun and age appropriate progressive manner.

LOCATION
BLOMHA operates out of six arenas across Burlington including:
- Aldershot Arena
- Appleby Ice Centre
- Central Arena
- Nelson Arena
- Mountainside Arena
- Mainway Arena
You will receive the season schedule before the season begins. Practices and games may be at different arenas throughout the season.
SCHEDULE
Example of monthly schedule for the entire season. There may be periods of time where teams will be on the ice Saturdays & Sundays most weekends. However due to other ice users having special events, breakdown of equipment at facilities and weather some weekends teams maybe get on the ice once.
