    Create an HCR profile
    ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE AN HCR PROFILE. These profiles are facilitated by Spordle. Complete this bench staff registration and when it asks for a participant, you will select 'Add new participant" and complete the required info. You can click "next" to skip the document upload section if you wish.

    ALL COURSE LINKS CAN BE FOUND HERE. This list includes all the REQUIRED certifications for all bench staff positions for the 2025-2026 season. All required certifications must be complete for you to be confirmed in your volunteer role.

    On-Ice Helper Information
    On-Ice Helpers MUST complete a VSC submission & bench staff registration. Please view this document for the instructions. If you have not completed these steps you are not a recognized volunteer with BLOMHA and are not permitted or insured to be on the ice. If you submitted a VSC last season, please go to the link below and complete the required annual declaration.

    Submit your completed Vulnerable Sector Check at this link OR submit the annual required VSC declaration at this link. They are the same form. At question 8, select "No (my VSC has not expired and want to complete the online declaration form)."

    Letter to Request VSC
    BLOMHA DOES NOT REIMBURSE FOR VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECKS. Please fill out this letter and use it if your local police department requests proof that you require a VSC. They will often not charge for volunteer roles, this letter proves that you are engaging in a volunteer role with BLOMHA/the Ontario Hockey Federation.

    BLOMHA reimburses one half of your certification(s) the first season that you volunteer, PROVIDED THAT YOU FILL OUT THIS FORM AND SUBMIT YOUR RECEIPT. You will be reimbursed the other half of your certification(s) the following season if you choose to volunteer again, PROVIDED THAT YOU FILL OUT THIS FORM AND SUBMIT YOUR RECEIPT.

    Hockey Canada equipment requirements
    All players must wear full equipment and it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure their player's equipment is up to standard and put on properly.
