If you haven't already, please ensure your player's HCR (Hockey Canada Registration) profile is
up to date. Please click "read more" for requirements and instructions.
Under the Ontario Hockey Federation and Hockey Canada policies,
each Hockey Canada profile must include:
- Proof of address, which can be a parent/guardian's driver's license or age of majority card or a recent utility bill. This should be uploaded under "documents." No health cards.
-
Respect in Sport-Parent course, completed by a parent/guardian, appearing under the "qualifications" tab. This course only needs to be done once per family, but the certification
must appear on your player's profile under "qualifications."
Please ensure that your player has an appropriately updated profile.
FAQ:
- Respect in Sport-Parent (RIS-P)
is not the same as Respect in Sport-Activity Leader (RIS-AL). All Coaches take RIS-AL, but all parents/guardians must still complete RIS-P. Being a coach does not exempt you from taking RIS-P, and the courses
cannot be substituted for one another.
- If your player does not have a "sport profile," click "add sport profile." If you do not have their participant number, please email
[email protected] or call our office and we can get it for you.
- Spordle does not work well on cell phone browsers. We recommend using a computer when possible.
- Already completed RIS-P? Connect it to your player's profile:
- Click on “profile,” displayed across the top of the page.

- Click on “child management”
- Click “ADD CHILD-add a child to your profile”
If you require your player’s HCR#/Hockey Member ID, please let us know their first and last name and we will get it for you.
- Once you add your child, the HCR system will automatically update their RIS-Parent qualification on their profile.
How to access your player's Hockey Canada profile/what to update:
1. Go to
myaccount.spordle.com & login. This is the website that you register your player for I.P./House League.
2. There is a menu on the left side of the page, you may need to click an arrow to expand it. Then click "Members".
3. Select your player's initials, then click "view profile."
Please note: If your player does not have a "sport profile" displayed, click "add sport profile." If you do not have their participant number, please email [email protected] or call our office and we will get it for you.
4. Click the "qualifications" tab - does Respect in Sport - Parent appear? This course is
required to be completed by every hockey family. It only needs to be completed once, by one parent/guardian, but it must appear under the "qualifications" tab.
If you
have completed this certification, connect it to your player's profile by completing the following steps:
- Click on “profile,” displayed across the top of the page.

- Click on “child management”
- Click “ADD CHILD-add a child to your profile”
If you require your player’s HCR#/Hockey Member ID, please let us know their first and last name and we will get it for you.
- Once you add your child, the HCR system will automatically update their RIS-Parent qualification on their profile.
5. Click the "documents" tab - does your player have valid proof of address uploaded? If they do, nothing else is required. This does not need to be changed year to year unless you have moved. If they do not have proof of address, please upload a photo of your (parent/guardian) driver's license
or age of majority card
or a recent utility bill. No health cards, please. Only one of the three documents is necessary.
6. Click the "waivers" tab - are they all signed? If not, please sign off on them.
That's it! Thank you for engaging with this process.
