VSC & Certification Information
Please click "read more" for instructions. 

Please be aware that a completed Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) submission is mandatory for every single volunteer 18 years old +. You are not eligible to be on the ice or the bench until this is complete. Please ensure you follow the process outlined below. 


Below you will find:

1. Instructions if you have applied for a new VSC and you are waiting for it.
2. Instructions for if you have a completed VSC that needs to be submitted.
3. You submitted a VSC last season, so you need to complete the annual declaration that keeps it valid for another year. The declaration is found at the same link as the VSC submission (see below).
4. How to create a Hockey Canada Registration profile - this profile is necessary for all volunteers.

1. IF YOU HAVE APPLIED FOR A VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK BUT ARE STILL WAITING FOR IT TO BE COMPLETED:

You must submit the receipt at this link. At question 8, Select “Yes… etc” This receipt is a place holder until your VSC comes back, at which point you must complete this step again and submit the completed VSC document.

A RECEIPT/INVOICE is a PDF document you will receive from the police via email. If you do not receive it via email, log into your online police account, and download this document. If you are having trouble, come by the BLOMHA office with your police credentials and we will assist you.You can go through the same process with a physical receipt.

2. IF YOU NEED TO SUBMIT A COMPLETED VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

Submit your Vulnerable Sector Check via this form. You will receive confirmation from the OHF when they have successfully received your submission.
  


3. ANNUAL VSC DECLARATION:

Click here and complete this form. At question 8, please select “No (my VSC has not expired and want to complete the online declaration form)

You will receive email confirmation from the OHF that your declaration has been received.


BLOMHA is independently going through the bench staff list and registrations and will reach out with confirmation or more info if there is an issue. 

4. CREATE A HOCKEY CANADA REGISTRATION PROFILE:

Complete this bench staff registration. Click “add participant” and complete the steps. Please ensure you fill in all the required information, however, you can skip the document upload by clicking “next.” Once you have a profile, you will be assigned a Hockey Canada Registration number, or HCR number. Please make note of this, you will need it.
