U18 Red Wins Tier 2 Alliance Championships
The Burlington Bulldogs U18 Red BB/B Team captured the U18 B Tier 2 Championships this past Sunday with a thrilling 2-1 victory over the West London Hawks (Black) team.

The boys opened the weekend with a tough 2-1 loss against Sarnia but rallied back to take the next 5 games. Playing with a ‘team first’ mentality throughout the tournament, the Bulldogs defeated North London (3-0), Hamilton (5-3) and West London Hawks Black (5-3) to earn a re-match against a tough Sarnia team in the Semis on Sunday morning. Our Bulldogs clinched their spot into the final after a 4-0 victory.

This past weekend marked the first time since the first week in October our team had every member of the team available to play each game. Displaying a positive attitude on and off the ice, staying disciplined throughout games, playing ‘ice pack hockey’ when it mattered most as well as having some great special teams play on both the Power Play and penalty killing units were the keys to our Bulldogs success all weekend. Not to mention, the sighting of an A-listed Mega celebrity in our hotel in London kept the boys engaged all weekend to work together as a unit to get that elusive selfie that they earned the right to brag to their friends back home.

A big thank you to all parents as well as our team staff for the entire season. It was a great way to finish this season for all our players but an even sweeter conclusion for our 2005-aged players who played their final Minor Hockey games for the Burlington Bulldogs.

All the best of success on and off the ice next season and beyond to all our players as you move forward making an impact in other people’s lives in the coming years. Just remember when times get tough in life, remind yourselves, “I’m Still Standing”.

Coach Jason
